Run the Pilgrim Way

We are a community of male runners who love to seek God in the wilderness and in the wildernesses of our life circumstances

Our Story

Many men think they need to project this image that they have life under control, that they can do it all on their own. That leads to men who are isolated from the community they need when life gets hard, and at worst, they break things that need repair for years to come. This happens in running with physical ailments, and it happens in the spiritual journey with sin and vice.

This is my story. I know how hard it is to be consumed with keeping my head above water. I was overwhelmed and simply reacting to whatever came up. When I started reaching out for help, for brothers on a similar path to mine, I started to feel the burden lift, and as I continue on my own journey, I recognize the network of connection that helps me to thrive.

We run for play, for connection, for wellbeing, and for encounters with God.

More than Running

My company is called Pilgrim Endurance, and we are a community of male runners who love to seek God in the wilderness and in the wildernesses of our life circumstances. We run for play, for connection, for wellbeing, and for encounters with God. I'm a running coach who imagines the coaching relationship in light of the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, and I pray Christ would come meet us on the journey, wherever we're at.

You will notice that it's different to go there with a companion...You can go places you feared to go alone.

As we work together, you will find yourself entering new territory with running and your relationship with God. You will notice that it's different to go there with a companion and to be consistent. You may notice more courage for healthy risk-taking. You may notice habits that are no longer helpful fall away. You may notice a new sense of awe and wonder for your surroundings and your fitness. You can go places you feared to go alone. I'm the spiritual running coach for the man who seeks fulfillment in long-term consistent encounters with God through exercise, nature, and others. That's the pilgrim's journey.
