Run Coaching | Online & in Boulder, CO
Take your running to the next level.
If you are here, chances are you are looking for new ways to infuse your running with a sense of purpose.
You want to connect with your whole self as you run–mind, body, and spirit. Perhaps your running has become stale and you are looking for something to maintain the stoke and help you connect with your “why.” You may struggle with consistency. You have big goals, but lack the discipline to make your dreams a reality.
You may have been on the verge of resigning…telling yourself that your body simply isn’t made for running or that you are too lazy or just not a “disciplined person.” You may have wondered if it is time to accept that the honeymoon phase of running is over and now you need to settle with it just being for exercise.
Yes, there will be some days when running is not as enjoyable as others, but what if I told you that there may be a deeper reason why running has felt stale and consistency has been difficult?
If you want running to be something that helps you connect with your true self, and if you want to develop the consistency to finally reach your goals, you are in the right place. I am here to support you as a coach that responds to all of you and helps you maintain connection to your purpose as you run.
You may have lost sight of your “why.”
You may have lost your stoke because you’ve become disconnected from the reason that brought you to running in the first place. Without a strong enough “why,” it is difficult to get out the door on your harder days. We maintain our disciplines because of the “why” behind them. Anything worth doing will include its challenges, but maintaining connection to your purpose will be the strongest factor for persevering.
You may have been training in a way that ignores your body’s needs rather than responds to them.
Perhaps it has been difficult to maintain your stoke because of the way you are training. You may have been training in a way that ignores your body’s needs rather than responds to them. You are not a machine. There are many more aspects to you beyond your physical body that can affect your training progress. Consistency in listening and responding to your body, mind, and spirit will allow you to thrive rather than get injured and burnt out.
A coach who responds to all of you.
Through research-based, responsive run coaching, I support you by developing training plans adapted to your mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical states. I am here to respond to all of you and coach you in a way that allows you to nurture and connect with your authentic self. Through my holistic approach to coaching, you will be able to connect with a deeper why so that you can maintain connection to your purpose and develop the consistency that allows you to go after your goals.
Imagine being able to run without large interruptions in your training due to injury. Your body will feel stronger and more capable as you learn to respond to it and nurture every part of you. You will finally have the consistency to reach the goals that felt unattainable. Imagine rekindling your love for running. What had felt like another item on your to-do list will become something that adds deep meaning to your life.
Whether you are just starting on your running journey or are working on tackling your next ultra, you are not alone. You deserve to have someone walking alongside you and supporting you in this process.
If you are ready to take your running to the next level and connect more deeply with your true self, let’s talk. Let’s have a conversation about how I can support you on this journey.
How does coaching work?
01 — Exploring Your Why
First, you schedule a free initial session. In your first session, I open up space for you to explore why you run. We discuss your hopes, and you get a taste for how we might be able to serve you. We love to help you explore why you run, whether or not you continue.
02 — Personalized Training Plan
Once you sign up, we meet to discuss goals that arise from your “why,” and create a personalized training plan adapted to your these goals and your lifestyle.
03 — Daily Support
I continue adapting your training plan according to your daily check-ins. You have the option to sign up for monthly sessions that look more like traditional spiritual direction with the focus on how your relationship with God is growing. This provides opportunities to integrate your running and spiritual life. You may choose to request a yearly retreat.
