What’s it like to work with Pilgrim Endurance?

I asked three clients a few simple questions.

Read what they had to say.

Brandon W.

Describe your ideal spiritual companion.

"Someone who takes a long-term view of life, both their own and others'. Someone who lets this view be seen in their questions and directions, and is healthfully present because they're at peace with this long-term view. Someone who preeminently loves Christ, and views questioning as healthy. Someone with a ""no-flinch"" personality toward any questions. Someone who laughs or chuckles."

What has been most helpful in working with Chris at Pilgrim Endurance?

"You are gifted at asking questions. Your questions seem to come from a natural well of curiosity, and that lends a compassionate atmosphere to our chats. Not unlike a good counselor, your questions help people open themselves to their own conclusions, hopes, faults, and personalities.

Honestly, just getting outside with one other man is so beneficial. It's lacking for many people and has been for me.

I've benefited from your running tips and from bouncing ideas off you regarding physical training.

You are always present with me. This is rare."

What else would you like to share about your experience?

“I think you are rather uniquely qualified to provide this service, and I have loved every minute with you. I appreciate your positive regard for me, your excellent open-ended questions, and your genuine curiosity about me, my goals, and life in general.”

Taylor K.

Describe your ideal spiritual companion.

“The best person is someone who questions me about how I perceive life. Asking the hard questions that I don’t necessarily want to ask myself. I appreciate someone who is fun, honest, caring, loyal, and supportive. A person who knows my journey is different than theirs but still helps me become the best version of myself is what I look for in a companion.”

What has been most helpful in working with Chris at Pilgrim Endurance?

“I really appreciate your honesty with me. Both regarding finances, training schedule, and overall spiritual guidance. Honesty has been the most impactful quality for me. I really appreciate the intentionality you put in with me. How you take the time to work on my plan and think about where I have been. I also appreciate your reflection with me. Taking the time to acknowledge where I am at and where I can go from here have been so beneficial. Sometimes I see where I want to go but do not have the words or strength to verbalize it.”

What else would you like to share about your experience?

“I’ve loved this idea!! I am already trying to find more people to get on board! I’ve loved just having someone to talk to and hold me accountable. It’s brought a greater sense of joy and purpose to my training! I am very thankful for you Chris!”

Michael M.

Describe your ideal spiritual companion.

"This is a hard question to answer. I guess it'd be someone who encourages me to more integrate prayer into my daily life and pay attention to the small signs of God working in my life.”

What has been most helpful in working with Chris at Pilgrim Endurance?

“I like that you aren't impatient. You let me talk, and then help guide me and give me food for thought. I like that you challenge me and push me, but also remind me to be kind to myself.”

What else would you like to share about your experience?

“You have tons of training, experience, and qualifications and deserve to be compensated accordingly. As someone who provides an intangible service myself, rather than a product, I know it's frustrating when people want to devalue your work.”

Nobody can do it all on their own.
